KIRE is a family card game for 2 to 5 players, recommended for ages 14 and up. It offers accessible strategy with meaningful decisions and a playtime of around 20 minutes per player.
INTRODUCTION
KIRE is a card game in which players bid for control of four locations each round to score points. In the event of a tied bet the best hand wins, but the criteria differ for each location: at the castle, the highest card wins; at the village, the lowest; at the market, combinations (pairs, two pairs, etc.) win; and at the camp, the “strength” of the cards is compared rather than their numerical value.
The first player to achieve two “revolts” wins the game. A revolt consists of reaching a score of 20 points or more.
What sets KIRE apart from similar games is that, thanks to its unique deck, any card can be valuable depending on the circumstances. Players discover interesting hand combinations as they play, which significantly reduces the role of luck on the long run.
Also, the game works nicely with any number of players from 2 to 5!
